#OOTD | Paris tee x Tweed Skirt

Today’s fit is considering the fact that it is now sunscreen weather and not coat weather, that reminds me I must stop putting oil on my skin otherwise I’m going to bake. I find I can be all over the place with my style, skincare routine and makeup when the weather suddenly changes. It never seems to be an easy transition, more like BAM its here! A simple Paris tee, because when is Paris ever a bad idea, this tee shirt is actually from the £ shop….yes, I said it, I did it ..I never thought I would wear anything from the pound shop but then at the end of the day it is still a t-shirt, it is still cotton and somebody still made it. I feel like I’m probably too old to really care about labels and what people think now anyway aha! The tweed skirt is a typical classic, one of those items you have for years and years because it goes with anything and everything (especially in a neutral colour like black) it can also be worn casual, smart or fancy. I got mine from www.soulandstyleshop.com so I will link similar skirts below also. Let me know what you guys have been up to, I’ve missed you all <3

#BEAUTY | The top 3 eyeshadow palettes for bright looks

So you're looking to create a bright az look, a kind of out of this world . popping #eotd? Then you need these 3 palettes. It isn't just the colours that are the reason but the intense creamy pigments and they way it goes smoothly on the skin.

 Juvias Place Magic Palette
Since I bought this beauty all I have wanted to do is use it in every makeup look, take endless photos of it and just touch it...aha yes it is really THAT good, beats me why I only have this palette and not any others from Juvias Place?! I think I may have done a separate post on this before and explained my love for it then!

 Morphe 35B
This palette is a mix of shimmer and mattes, the shimmers are super creamy and similar to those of the juvias palette in texture. The mattes are equally as pigmented but just a more powder texture, but it doesn't take away from the pigment. This one pretty much has all the colours you need and is my go to palette colour. It is also a very decent price for the amount of shades you get. I think a makeup artist must have this!

Too Faced Semi Sweet
Okay you got me, this isn't really a bright colour palette as in you open it and go WAUW, buuuutt hear me out! It has a lot of shimmer tones which I would describe as bright, so it doubles up as a highlighting palette as well as an eyeshadow one. I have had this a few years now, and I'm in a state of mind where I want to use it all the time but I also don't want to hit pan! The bronze shades are dreams, I haven't come across any other bronze shades that I love more than these - peanut butter is my all time favourite ever and the only thing that may come close would be potentially a shade from the makeup revolution subculture dupe palette!

Where I couldn't find the links I have added similar products!

#BEAUTY | Maybelline Blush Kit + Matte Maker

Finding the right blush can be quite a task, its the finishing touch to all makeup looks and should not be overlooked or forgotten. I feel it can do so much to a face. It gives the perfect flush of colour to a tan-less, needs-a-holiday badly, where-the-hell-is-summer face. I've realised though, its not that simple to pick a colour as there is so many blushes to pick from, singles to palettes or even creamy blushes.

I found my balance between a peachy orange and a subtle glow of pink, and from this palette I use the peachy tone with the tiniest of sprinkles of the pink. Purple is not for me personally but I can still use it as an eyeshadow.

I normally use my Nip + Fab blush palette as the tones are my cup of tea, and I believe it will be my go to whilst I try new ones in between.

The Maybelline blush kit also comes with a highlighter of which is pigmented in its own right, but can be a tad more glittery if you apply too much, that's me comparing it to the Mary Lou Manizer by texture.

As for the Matte Maker Mattifying powder, there isn't much moaning to do; it does what it says on the tin! It is great to set the areas you need to as well as for priming the eyes, easily can be popped into your handbag if you need to touch up your makeup throughout the night :)

Its a thumbs up from moi <3

#OOTD | Seeing red with this Nasty Gal jumpsuit

Long time, no speak. Isn't that how every conversation starts once you're an adult? So funny how as a teen you are so oblivious to the fact of what life is and want to grow up in a hurry! I have been MIA on my blog and I must admit it has been bothering me, I have felt uninspired of recent and don't want to blog for the sake of it. Not only do I blame the weather (thanks for the dry skin!) but also side projects, as well as life events.

I'm currently in the midst of setting something up, of which I don't want to be more specific yet as its in its early stages but I do hope once it gets going I have all your support :) #girlboss
my focus is currently on that, but never far away from blogging, makeup, creating, youtube and everything in between.

I shall be back with a bad gal bang, seeing as I am testing out the benefit newbie I thought that was quite fitting mwahha I also have some new makeup and skincare of which I am testing out before I give a review annndddd waiting for some good good weather to shoot some o-o-t-d's cos I love creating them. But for now, I'm going to post some photos of a shoot I did a few weeks ago which was my birthday outfit :) I went ga ga for it as soon as I saw it and I got it in a size 8 as I find nasty gal sizes come up quite big.

You can catch me on my socials <3

#BEAUTY | Gold halo eye using Essence Cosmetics

Essence Cosmetics isn't a very well known brand, at least to me it isn't. I have memories of seeing it in Wilkinson's stores but not anywhere else. I was also of the opinion that the brand wasn't of great quality...once again stereotyping and a lesson of why we shouldn't stereotype!

I got sent these samples from a PR company and felt really inspired to use the star product for me, the gold metal shock eyeshadow.

oh how pigmented is thee? for a product that retails at £3.50! they come in 4 colour shades I believe, and are of a cream texture with the applicator which I guess I would use if I was applying it on my full lid but as I was just creating a halo eye I used a smaller brush for precision. It dried in just the right amount of time so it didn't transfer on my upper lid area :)

The only other product I used for this look was this highlighter. I mean I thought the rainbow highlighter craze had been and gone but its still around brightening up those blue Mondays! It doesn't show up very well on camera, but it was an alright highlighter with reflects of the rainbow colours, but not really a product I would go to pick up in a shop.

this lipstick isn't a shade I would wear, but I swatched it anyway :) I love the imprint on the actual lipstick itself, its a creamy texture which is great if you don't want a lipstick to be drying. well needed lipstick during winter I say

my second fave is this nail varnish. enter the realm of galactic space, its a pinkie white nail varnish but when the light hits its green! like a holographic green colour and I think its so beautiful. I was actually mesmerised by my nails for a while aha

overall I think some of the products are hits and some are misses, but if you find the good ones you will be pleasantly surprised and as most of the products are such descent prices so you not going to be majorly disappointed if you don't end up using it

I added some similar products below x

#BEAUTY | Makeup Revolution Flawless 4 eyeshadows + NEW concealer

In my bid to do a full face of affordable and decent makeup, I went on a shopping trip to gather my items....and of course to grab that concealer the whole beauty world is talking about (or so it seems) so my trip was a disappointing one as the store I went to was near enough empty of makeup revolution :( so I bought this flawless 4 eyeshadow kit and concealer and intend to buy other bits like foundation, brow and lip products etc somewhere else. For the time being though I wanted to share my thoughts on this palette.

The colours are stunning, I'm actually so happy at how high street brands are really good quality for the money, I believe this palette was £6. I was drawn to the pinks and reds and of course the shimmer shades, both being really pigmented. There is a bit of fallout but mostly in the darker colours. There is a good range of mattes and shimmers and saying that also a good range of crease colours and lid colours.

The concealer which is being compared to tartes shape tape, which I am not going to compare as I haven't used tartes one...yet. I got C5 which is good for my skin tone but I do want a lighter shade for highlighting. The consistency is really great, its not runny and it really does blend out beautifully. Holly Boon on YouTube has a really good video demonstration on this concealer. Makeup Revolution is and has been one of my go to high street brands for a while, I hope they keep bringing out fire products <3

Has anyone used these products yet? If so , let me know your thoughts!

#FASHION | Topshop 1950's-1960's inspired key pieces

I love a good old 1950's into 1960's transition, yet find it hard to find affordable pieces to put together to create that kind of look. So I did a little bit of digging around and found a few pieces which I think pretty much fit that description. You'll be beboppa-luling around in the coolest decade around ;)

#SKINCARE | My Skin Story With Dermalogica - precleanse, cleanser, superfoliant, soothing cream

Hello my lovely readers,

If you prefer the spoken word then I do have a YouTube video with my first impressions and how I used these products in my skincare routine, all links are on my blog.
But I did have a little trouble with the audio and the timings of the speech so I didn't feel I could fit everything I wanted to say on the video , alas my blog post

Just to recap, I got sent this Dermalogica box via Influenster which is a site for bloggers to review items they have used and to be also in with a chance of getting sent stuff to review free of charge.

I was actually glad for two reasons that I got sent this Dermalogica box
1) I had never tried anything from this brand beforehand
2) my skin of late has been feeling like an abandoned umbrella on a rainy day

my skin is oily to combination, mostly an oily t -zone and I do get dry patches here and there through out the cold season

The two products which I found to be most useful to me were the pre-cleanse balm (came with the mitt) and the moisturiser, I say this because I do moisturise everyday sometimes 3x a day and I do like to use a thick product like the pre cleanse balm to clean my face ( it also has a lovely lavender smell ) Both of the products was hydrating to my skin without making it oily and created a healthy glow.
The cream claims to basically combat outer worldly pollution, so like a filter on the face and it contains arnica, aloe and cucumber; I love the fact it has arnica in as it is used to cool bruises and has a real refreshing / calming feeling to it.

I already use a glycol scrub from Nip and Fab for exfoliating and for my skin type that works really well, so I wasn't overly fussed shall I say about the daily superfoliant . I think it is a cool concept of mixing the power with water to create a paste type mask thing , but I also felt its a it of a fuss to do that.....in reality its me being lazy aha

like I mentioned in my video I wouldn't recommend the cleansing gel, as it made my skin feel tight and dry-ish, it isn't so bad if you do moisturise with a thick cream after but If you are planning to just cleanse it will leave your face feeling dry and tight. Again it may work well on other skin types, but for me it didn't

I am really looking in to trying some of the other products, which may be more suited to my skin type. Let me know if you have tried any or recommend any!
