#BEAUTY | Joan Collins Timeless Beauty Event + Makeup Review/Swatches

Welcome to the glamour. Not gonna lie, my makeup desk is now oozing as much glamour as a starlet from 1950's Hollywood with this lot on it :) #allthegoals.

I went to a makeup masterclass by Joan Collins makeup artist *still pinching myself* and was given the most lovely goody bag! Just to be in the same room as Joan Collins make up artist was a big deal for me as I adore the whole Hollywood era.

The event itself was so awesome, to learn more about the products and how much Joan Collins herself is involved and the back story of it was fab. If you want to see the masterclass the event was filmed and is on the Facebook page of the Joan Collins Timeless Beauty.

Eyeliner + Mascara :

So I already had the brown eyeliner and I loved it and now I have it in black also, you can read my review here. I have been using the mascara non stop since I received it as I find the brush to be great for a non clumped look. The mascara consistency itself is not flaky.

Eyeshadow Quad :

At the event I wasn't so sold on the eyeshadow as I only got to play around with it for a minute and in the time I only tried 2 shades and swatched it on my hand but I felt like it wasn't that pigmented. When I played around with it at home, with brushes and clearly I pushed a lot more harder when I was in my makeup element I was happy that they was quite pigmented. The gold shimmer is very gorgeous and I used the light brown for crease depth. I'm not sure I would personally pay £25 for the quad as I do quite a lot of makeup looks and use a ton of colours so for me to buy a palette with 15 or more colours for £25 is more reasonable BUT as a gift I think it is well worth the £25 due to the luxury of the whole product
Foundation :

The foundation for me was the star of the show. The colour match for me was spot on for my lighter winter skin *summer come back asap, we all miss you *, the consistency I love because it is not to thick but it isn't overly runny either. I'm not a huge fan of wearing foundation on a day to day basis for reasons such as I like my skin to breath and I don't have time to check it is all blended. What I found with this one is it can be applied quickly using your hands for a light coverage, I would say like a BB cream. If your just in it for the even skin tone look or a slight tint then that's the way but I also found it to be buildable, I have applied 2 layers of the foundation and it is more of a medium coverage look :)

Lipstick :
I previously had the colour Helene and I obtained the colour Amanda at the event, we all got to pick our own colours :) Amanda really stood out to me, next to the other shades it had a very unique colour to it! Unlike Helene, Amanda is orange/hazel toned. I do genuinely love these lipsticks as they are hydrating and glide on with such ease.

I had an amazing day at the event and playing around with the gorgeous makeup :)

Let me know if you have tried any of the
makeup from the range and your thoughts?!
xoxo

#REVIEW | Ammonia FREE hair dye w/ NATURIGIN

There are a lot of hair dyes on the current market and when i am shopping for one i tend to normally stick to one or two brands, more than anything it is to do with price rather than being about a brand i love. All hair dyes have a variety of colours and there ist much else that sets them apart, so for me i am easily swayed and will give most brands a go! Enter... NATURIGIN . This posts is actually a little overdue, sorry guys! I met the lovely people behind the brand at the blogger hangout event which you can read HERE and they told me the wonders about the hair dye. Basically the biggest selling point or best asset shall i say of this product is the fact that it is ammonia free and organic based! The dye itself is free of ammonia, which means it doesnt have the smell of a chemical lab!! I was so pleased and pleasently suprised with the smell of the dye. I really had no idea what to expect but it wasnt at all that strong bleachy smell it was so much more toned down.
