#REVIEW | You MUST binge watch these NETFLIX shows

I am now back to flicking through Netflix, deciding what to binge watch next. Once you have typed with much difficulty… psykolgifal thrilkers….and then deleted and re typed, PHYSCOLOGICAL THRILLERS , browsed through the comedy section and realised you have seen it all or don’t fancy this or that, definitely NOT that…then its no fun anymore. So I am going to tell you what exactly YOU should be binge watching on your television, not just any television mind you…make sure its high definition, with crisp displays like the Oled TV Panasonic to get the best viewing!    *there are NO spoilers  : )*

The following programmes I recommend are my personal favourites and I either became obsessed and finished the whole series in a day or 2 OR I couldn’t wait until the next episode went live :)

1.       The Sinner –
Watched in a day…a day I tell you. I had the numbest bum after, but it was worth it. Jessica Biel is the main character and she kills a man, unprovoked and doesn’t know why. From this moment on I began to suspect anyone and everyone, and it went on like that for the whole series…I had my theories like she was previously abused, so it set her off in a frenzy and other ideas. I always seem to have a certain kind of sympathy for the mental struggles characters like this go through and Jessica Biel played the part so well, I was hooked until the end from the first episode.

2.       Mindhunter –
I didn’t know the term “serial killer” was coined in the 70’s until I watched this show, may I add in 3-4 days : ) I do love a show set in a time gone by and this being set in the 70’s didn’t disappoint. It’s basically a who’s who of serial killers, with the likes of Manson, Brudos, Kemper, Speck and many more. Some of whom I had never been that too familiar with and now I could tell you all about them, I admit the show took me a bit longer to watch as I had to keep pausing to google all about the real life serial killers 0_0 I mean it’s not pretty, but its mind numbing the crimes that they undertook. The FBI agents in the show interview the serial killers (which was unheard of and pretty much thought weird in those days) to try and understand why they do what they do from a science/psychological perspective. I was fully gripped from episode 2, so bear with the first 2 episodes as its much better after that!

Some other shows that are very similar to these, that I also recommend I have listed below. But once you start you will get hooked I am tellin you ….

Bates Motel
Alias Grace
13 Reasons Why
The Jinx
Making a Murderer
The Keepers

If you already have watched these programs, then I would love to know and discuss what you thought of them :) or if you plan to watch any of them also let me know!

#SKINCARE | Nip+Fab - You NEED this scrub if you want smaller pores!

This is the first time I have used any product from NIP+FAB, and as any skincare product or brand I try for the first time I'm always unsure of how it will work with my skin. Obviously when you read reviews of products its from someone's personal use and doesn't always mean it will work the same on your own, but  I believe this product could help out a lot of skin problems. Everyone needs to exfoliate so the old skin shifts and the new skin has life :) this product is honestly now my holy grail.....like I'm Holly Golightly when she finally finds the cat with no name after all the emotional torture of not knowing where he is! (such a dramatic comparison but we'll go with it aha)

I bought it when it was on offer for £6 something and I believe its £9 normally, but truly its worth the £9 ; when my one runs out I definitely will be buying another. As you can see from the photo its a sort of white paste, with the exfoliating bits in it. I massage it all over my face and leave it for 1 minute and then I add water and massage again and then rinse off. You will not believe how soft and levelled out your skin feels as SOON as you wash it off!!!

Its not only an immediate affect scrub but it also has long lasting results. As you must know by now I always tell you how I have larger pores than I like, after using this scrub for a couple of weeks now about 3x  week I have notices the difference in the size of my pores! Where the scrub gets deep into the pores it really helps to cleanse them and make them less noticeable

Besides all the good stuff like IT ACTAULLY WORKS, the smell is the dreamiest thing ever. It is a grapefruit scented scrub which just seems to put me in such a happy mood, it wakes up my senses and my skin. I cant stop touching my face ^-^

( 3% glycolic acid and salicylic acids to refine, brighten + renew)

Please, just give it a shot if you suffer with large pours, blemishes and blackheads then use it a couple times a week and if you have normal, dry or sensitive skin then I would say use it 2x a week. You wont regret it.

Anyone recommend any other products from NIP+FAB, as its now a brand I trust :)

#BEAUTY | Joan Collins Timeless Beauty Event + Makeup Review/Swatches

Welcome to the glamour. Not gonna lie, my makeup desk is now oozing as much glamour as a starlet from 1950's Hollywood with this lot on it :) #allthegoals.

I went to a makeup masterclass by Joan Collins makeup artist *still pinching myself* and was given the most lovely goody bag! Just to be in the same room as Joan Collins make up artist was a big deal for me as I adore the whole Hollywood era.

The event itself was so awesome, to learn more about the products and how much Joan Collins herself is involved and the back story of it was fab. If you want to see the masterclass the event was filmed and is on the Facebook page of the Joan Collins Timeless Beauty.

Eyeliner + Mascara :

So I already had the brown eyeliner and I loved it and now I have it in black also, you can read my review here. I have been using the mascara non stop since I received it as I find the brush to be great for a non clumped look. The mascara consistency itself is not flaky.

Eyeshadow Quad :

At the event I wasn't so sold on the eyeshadow as I only got to play around with it for a minute and in the time I only tried 2 shades and swatched it on my hand but I felt like it wasn't that pigmented. When I played around with it at home, with brushes and clearly I pushed a lot more harder when I was in my makeup element I was happy that they was quite pigmented. The gold shimmer is very gorgeous and I used the light brown for crease depth. I'm not sure I would personally pay £25 for the quad as I do quite a lot of makeup looks and use a ton of colours so for me to buy a palette with 15 or more colours for £25 is more reasonable BUT as a gift I think it is well worth the £25 due to the luxury of the whole product
Foundation :

The foundation for me was the star of the show. The colour match for me was spot on for my lighter winter skin *summer come back asap, we all miss you *, the consistency I love because it is not to thick but it isn't overly runny either. I'm not a huge fan of wearing foundation on a day to day basis for reasons such as I like my skin to breath and I don't have time to check it is all blended. What I found with this one is it can be applied quickly using your hands for a light coverage, I would say like a BB cream. If your just in it for the even skin tone look or a slight tint then that's the way but I also found it to be buildable, I have applied 2 layers of the foundation and it is more of a medium coverage look :)

Lipstick :
I previously had the colour Helene and I obtained the colour Amanda at the event, we all got to pick our own colours :) Amanda really stood out to me, next to the other shades it had a very unique colour to it! Unlike Helene, Amanda is orange/hazel toned. I do genuinely love these lipsticks as they are hydrating and glide on with such ease.

I had an amazing day at the event and playing around with the gorgeous makeup :)

Let me know if you have tried any of the
makeup from the range and your thoughts?!

#BEAUTY | Models Own foundation stick and colour chrome eyeshadow review

This foundation stick was about a 1 minute decision, I saw on their twitter that they released these and I bought it right there and then. I suppose I bought it so quick because I normally talk myself out of makeup purchases...when you have so many foundations, eyeshadows, lipsticks how do you justify another one aha *inner self - " there is no such thing as too many "
The price was also another reason for the purchase as at £9.99 it was worth a try, seeing as it is my first time using a stick foundation!

Its super compact, super easy to apply and to my surprise, (I cant say my expectations were that high...I was just being sceptical AF) so easy to blend! I think I lucked out on choosing the correct colour (15) as I wasn't sure which colour to go for but I guess I make better decisions under pressure!
Are you wondering about coverage? I would say it is a medium to full coverage with the added bonus to touch up throughout the day without it looking patchy.
pssst. it also has a built in primer!

I wonder what the majority of you guys prefer, stick or liquid? or another type?

Even though I bought the foundation with my own money I also got a free product, I'm guessing it was an offer they was doing with the foundation sticks. Hands down the best free product ever!! If you haven't already, then now is the time you try the colour chrome eyeshadow. The pigment is epic, the cream consistency is a joy to blend and apply.....its just heaven.

It comes with a little mixing plate and a liquid primer to create a more foiled look, I used it without the primer but I think it doesn't need it! check it out

#SKINCARE | REN Perfect Canvas Serum

REN is a brand I’ve only been familiar with for a short while, and although I see it most days where I work I never really had the urge to use it due to my stubborn thoughts that it is just like any other skincare brand. Sceptical Sarah for you. But after attending a training session all about REN skincare, the story behind it and a deeper look at the ingredients I decided I should really give it a go and quickly took back my stereotypical thoughts.
REN recently launched a new product called: The perfect canvas finishing serum, which I was lucky enough to get a whole bottle of my own from the training session to try. My first thoughts were how aesthetically pleasing the bottle was, it looks clean, it’s the right size for the hand and has an easy to use dropper applicator. To touch it feels super smooth, I feel like that’s just a taster of what it feels like on the skin!

Now, I had been using a few of REN’s other products hand in hand with using the Perfect Canvas and on some occasions, I just used the product on its own under my usual moisturiser. Not to say the other products don’t work (I will be doing a separate post on the other products I used) but I noticed that it looked just as good, maybe even better just using the perfect canvas with no other products than just a moisturiser that works for you. The saying goes, less is more, and here I think that’s the case. I think it’s quite a revelation that I may have found just ONE product that helps create the “perfect canvas”.

I have big pores, which to me is my biggest concern...it’s just the thing that bothers me. When I apply the serum, I feel like I genuinely shrinks my pores ^-^ I normally apply 2-3 drops on to my hands, then press it onto my face and neck, after I have moisturised and let it dry. As it is a serum it is a wonderful consistency, quite sticky to touch after you apply as it’s a primer, but I like the feeling of that zing of tightness. Once it dries my skin honestly feels instantly hydrated, glowy and oh-so smooth…the smoothness is insane. It is like that of a primer but 100x better!

On the occasions I wear makeup on top of the serum I feel my makeup sits so much better, like its more at one with my skin rather than it being a film. It does also tend to last a lot longer than if I wear it without, I tend to have trouble with bronzer staying on as I’m probably touching my face constantly throughout the day...but I have noticed without even thinking about it, that my bronzer is still in place after the days end.

As it is still very much a skincare product than just a primer, I believe it makes your skin not just look better but it makes it better.

Have you tried the Perfect Canvas?
