#BEAUTY| Hair colour restore at home w/ Scott Cornwall

As a box dye girl through and through I'm very welcoming to try new brands, colours and different coverage techniques that are offered.

I got a lovely bit of blogger mail from a brand called Scott Cornwall, it came in such a beautiful box and I was the worst blogger ever and didn't take photos of the box..and if I did I just simply cant find them! Because in all truth I got this package a while ago but I wanted to wait until any other recent dyes I had on my hair had grown out so I could see the results in full effect.
Now I think of it there may be a photo of the box on my blog facebook page *hmm*.

As a brunette I got the chocolate brown colour but I also got a deep red colour if I was feeling like a change! I used the chocolate brown colour of course :)

The dye is not permanent but instead it is a colour restore for faded hair, or I like to think its a colour that can keep your hair looking glossy and coloured in the in-between times of when you have coloured your hair and haven't got around to colouring it again. does that even make sense? you know when its been 3 weeks since you last dyed your hair and you feel its lacking a bit of that colour, you can just pop this on for that extra ommf before you get around to dying your hair fully again!

What I also got in the box was a clarifying treatment and a protein spray. These a both pre - colouring and help to protect the hair from chemicals and to also help give the dye a more even coverage.

The treatment -
I sprayed my hair with the protein spray before I applied any colour.
I then left the colour on for approx. 20 minutes and then washed off.

This is my before photo

As you can see in the after photo, my hair is a bit more vibrant and has more chocolate-y tones to it :) it does for sure feel a lot more softer and glossy and has a fuller coverage which sometimes is hard to achieve with my hair as it is thick and quite long.

#REVIEW | Ammonia FREE hair dye w/ NATURIGIN

There are a lot of hair dyes on the current market and when i am shopping for one i tend to normally stick to one or two brands, more than anything it is to do with price rather than being about a brand i love. All hair dyes have a variety of colours and there ist much else that sets them apart, so for me i am easily swayed and will give most brands a go! Enter... NATURIGIN . This posts is actually a little overdue, sorry guys! I met the lovely people behind the brand at the blogger hangout event which you can read HERE and they told me the wonders about the hair dye. Basically the biggest selling point or best asset shall i say of this product is the fact that it is ammonia free and organic based! The dye itself is free of ammonia, which means it doesnt have the smell of a chemical lab!! I was so pleased and pleasently suprised with the smell of the dye. I really had no idea what to expect but it wasnt at all that strong bleachy smell it was so much more toned down.
