#BEAUTY | Skincare haul with Chemist.co.uk

My continued love for all things skincare has lovingly been fulfilled by chemist.co.uk, I have teamed up with them to bring you some products that I have used before and recommend and some others I haven't and are pleasantly surprised by.

I hadn't shopped at chemist.co.uk before, so my guess was they sold the kind of items you would find in a chemist. On the website there are various medicines you can buy and also skincare and toiletry items that you would usually find in a chemist but for a fraction of the price.
I never normally shop in actual chemists for skincare items as they tend to be a lot more dearer than say Superdrug or a superstore but this online chemist is similar to the Superdrug prices.

I guess I'm going to talk you through the bits I got now :)

Derma V10 body butter (coconut)
I don't usually tend to reach for body butters as I sometimes find them a little bit greasy, but it  was only right that I gave this one a try. I used it a couple of times and focused it on my legs and arms rather than anywhere else on my body. I liked it on my legs as it is very thick and creamy and makes you feel very nourished. I'm not about having thick creams all  over my body though, so using it in moderation is fine for me :) the smell gives me holiday beach vibes!

Neutrogena Visual Clear Treatment gel
Luckily for me I had some spots on my face so I could try this out haha not really luck but hey ho ^_^ I am a bit sceptical of spot treatments as I'm rather old fashioned about them, I either leave them to it or dab on a bit of toothpaste. I don't like to put a load of different chemicals on my skin when it has broken out, but saying that I am glad I tried this product out as I think it is actually works. It turns into a gel (pretty self explanatory from the name aha) and kind of acts as a barrier for the spot. Of course it didn't make my spots disappear but they did look less visible and not so prominent . Perfect if you are on your way to an important event and you break out!

MUDD original mask deep cleansing clay formula
As a mask lover I was not so fanatic about this one, its a clay formula. Clay formulas are such a pain to wash off. Or maybe I'm just so lazy, I like to put my mask and then be able to peel it off. I find if I scrub myself after a clay mask it makes my skin sore and red from the pressure of the scrubbing. I didn't feel this mask personally made my skin any different :( the good  thing was it was easy to apply! Also the way a mask works depends on the skin type that you are.

The last 2 items I got was the blueberry lip balm by Nivea and a Melrose stick. The lip balm I love, its super hydrating on the lips and has a tint of pink/lilac shade, it also smells delicious! The Melrose stick is as equally as good for dry areas of my skin, and so easy to apply as it is a stick form!

I'm so glad I have come across this site to be fair, not only does it stock a large variety of items but the price is also super low on items that are high in price in the actual brick and mortar chemists!

#BEAUTY | First impressions - LIMECRIME liquid listicks

ola my lovely readers ^_^
welcome back again, this time to another beauty post. this is pretty much a first impressions posts too as I have never used any of the LimeCrime products before! exciting I know.
Thanks to a lovely blogger friend of mine Amina who blogs over at www.aliandher.com I got such a bargain on these. ASOS was had 30% off some of their beauty products and these were included in that, Amina brought it to my attention via twitter sooo thank you very much for that :) instead of paying £15 each they was £11 each!

I had such a hard time choosing what colours to go for, I probably researched swatches for a good 40 minutes before I went with SALEM and BUFFY.
Buffy is the nude colour, and tbh I couldn't not pick a nude colour, I feel it is essential to have a nude shade from every brand possible haha

Salem is a deep brown colour, I picked salem because I genuinely haven't got this colour in my lipstick collection and I felt it was missing and I think its a very striking colour. I'm yet to decide whether I can pull it off or not.

They are a matte liquid lipstick and I do love a matte, I haven't worn the colours for the whole day yet so I cant say whether they last a good few hours or not. But I did wear buffy for a bit and it dried quite quickly into the matte formation and didn't seem to be drying at all.

They go on very wet and smoothly and dry fast. I would advise a base underneath especially for the dark colour. I just lined my lips with a brown pencil and then filled it in, just so the natural redness of my lips didn't seep through in the middle as I find with darker colours the bit in the middle of the lips wears away a lot quicker!

I shall link them below if anybody wants to have a browse

have you tried any of Limecrime's products

XOXO

#BEAUTY | Nouveau Lashes lash and lid foam cleanser - BEFORE AND AFTER

Merhaba everyone <3

If there is any advise I have been given from the women in my life, its always to look after the skin under your eyes and the d├ęcolletage. I suppose careful care can prevent ageing and keep the skin baby smooth. Nouveau lashes has launched a new product called the Lash and Lid foaming cleanser. As an avid user of their makeup remover, I was over the moon when they brought this to the market :) not only does it remove mascara and eye makeup but it can also be used to remove strip lashes! How cool is that?! It makes the whole idea of wearing falsies much more appealing.

Its a very straight forward product to use, all you need to do is pump it on to the back of your hand; or if you are a rebel then straight on to your face ^_^ when you pump the cleanser it will come out foam form. Then simply massage the product on to your eye lids and lashes, I also used it for my  face makeup. I used the little brush at first but I did find it a little bit easier to use my fingers as it was easier to control and massage.

I found it to be very soft on my skin and actually hydrating :) I'm going to add a before and after as it got off my mascara and eyeshadow which is dark in colour so well and that's the only product I used. I didn't have to scrub my eyes rotten to get it off!  I'm glad I don't have to tug at my eyes, especially the delicate under eye area.

I actually prefer it to the other makeup remover from their range, even though its really good - I'm not saying I don't like it at all, I just prefer the consistency of this one :) and I think that its so good that a brand caters for their target base and always brings out new products that top the ones that come before.

XOXO
