#BEAUTY | Kiehls - a one branded skincare routine

Twitter for bloggers is the holy grail...not only is it a great platform to promote the posts youve written , about the things you love ..or even hate BUT the oppurtunities to work with the brands you adore is there. Even just to communicate with a brand is enough for me, like the twitter chats that brands can host and this is how this post come about. Kiehl's held a little chat on twitter a while back now and it was great to get involved and in doing so i along with many other bloggers received a few products as a thank - you type thing. Now, i am so so grateful for that because i never take part in things like this just for freebies - i think as a blogger its such a privilege to get to know the brand in a more personal way and thats what those chats are great for!

Anyway..i thought i would do a little challenge with these products as they are the basis for a normal skincare routine... cleanser, moisturiser and a facial oil and just use these 3 items for my skincare routine for a week or 2. Normally im such a mix and match-a with skincare products with all types from different brands! Not anymore, lets see how i got on..

The Centella Skin- Calming Facial Cleanser was one of the items i received. It states on the bottle that it is suitable for sensitive skin, which i am probably lucky that my skin isnt really that sensitive but if you do suffer from sensitive skin i would surely throw this your way. It isnt heavily scented and isnt harsh at all, in fact the consistancy of the cleanser is very soft and gentle. I used about 2-3 pumps of the cleanser all over my face and neck, morning and evening. I even left my makeup on and used this to clease it off, the remaining makeu residue (mainly eye makeup) i would just use some cotton pads and eye makeup remover.

It left my face very soft and natural, it wasnt dry afterwards which i know a lot of facial cleansers tend to do and even soap..makes the skin very taut but this didnt strip any natural oils out of my skin so i was very very pleased with that!

As for the bottle itself it is very sturdy (a must have) and it has a nozzle on it so when you turn it round it stop any product coming out. No leakage!

An oil is always essential for radient skin and for showing of those cheekbones..so this Daily Reviving Concentrate will do just that job. After i used the cleanser i popped a little of this all over my face, its okay because it isnt an intense oily oil! So dont fear that you will be shiny and oily, instead it makes the face look revived and dewy. When we had that little bit of sunshine i either put the tinest bit on my cheeks during the day or just on my face at night. Cos the sun will of course help me create my own oils! I love the bottle as it has such a great pipette on it! You dont end up with loads of product of which you cant control. Also just a note i have combination/oily skin and this didnt make me break out in any spots.
This little beauty smells so divine *heart emoji* the Super Multi- Corrective Cream is a great moisturiser. It doesnt have that oily or buttery feel about it and it also doesnt just sit on the top layer of skin. It left my skin feeling so so smooth, again i didnt break out and it just gave me a little added glow. Feels very hydrating. I tend to use this more at night, a layer just before bed and you do wake up with a new face..ahah just kidding although it does feel that way. The jasmine in the serum really is relaxing and thats why i feel its perfect for a night time cream!

I would say that my one branded skin care routine was a success and it probably works best that way. As long as you have products that target your skin type then youre on to a winner, excuse me whilst i check out some other products from the Kiehl's website!

#SKINCARE | IPL at home hair removal with SmoothSkin GOLD

If you are wanting  a permanent solution for unwanted body hair then you are in the right place. Im not really a know it all when it comes to beauty gadgets like this as im usually one for sticking with what i know when it comes to my body. I dont like to play around with it too much as it really is natures way BUT after using this IPL hair removal device for a few weeks now i may just slightly be changing my mind!

If you are like me and only shave/wax in the summer, i know we are all hairy beasts in the winter haha then this could be your solution to not having to be worried about hairy legs in summer or winter! The Smooth Skin Gold device basically slows down the natural hair growth meaning that it takes longer to get hairier again! give me a woop woop for that!
For summer it is just so ideal because all i want to do is fling on a pair of shorts or a frilly dress and not spend 10 minutes panicking that i havent shaved my legs or underarms! Ive done this before and dry shaved my legs and ended up with blood all down my legs...meaning i had to cover up anyway.

How to use SmoothSkin Gold?

You only need to use the device once every week for at least 12 weeks! Then its all about maintaining. I found that the thing with this is just to be consistant, its so easy to be like
"i wont bother this week" cos you dont see immediate results. This isnt a quick fix kind of result, besides whats the saying - good things come to those who wait ;)

You can visit the website www.smoothskin.co.uk for more in depth info, but the booklet thats comes with the device is very helpful.

#TOP TIPS

#If you are not so sure at first then use the gentle
mode and that way you get use to the flashes

#After treatment your skin will be more sensitive
to the suns light so try to stay clear of gazing sun
(yes you got the smooth legs, dont try catch that tan just yet!;)

#My results

So the main thing i have noticed is that my hairs take longer to grow back! Yipiee! That means the device actually works haha *phew* but its also a psychological thing too, im not thinking about my legs as much ...well the hairs on them! And i feel a lot more confident.

I would say it is worth the money cos it is an investment that will just become part of your normal routine. The device can actually last for up to 10 years, imagine the saves you will make on your razors. At £10 a pop!
The device is a one off payment of £249.00 at Amazon and i think £300.00 at Boots.

#HEALTH & FITNESS | Loosing weight the fun way with Nutribuddy

From the title i know that you all must be thinking fun and loosing weight cant go in the same sentence, but you are wrong. There are a lot of diets out there and products that can help you to lose weight and i want to show you today that a diet doesnt have to be such a negative thought or thing to do!

What may work for one wont work for another BUT just have a read of my journey so far and see if you could do it for yourself. So, i got sent this beautiful looking bundle from Nutribuddy. It is a 14 day bundle. Which you can buy online for £34.99, there is also the option to buy a 7 day starter kit for £24.99 (recommened for anyone who wants to try it out before commiting to a bigger bundle to see if it works for you) you can also buy a bigger bundle for £62.99 which is a 30 day one.

I myself can be quite sceptical of meal replacement shakes as i think eating 3 meals a day and keeping snacking to the minimum is enough to help you stay at the weight of your choice. But of course its not always that easy, i do find myself grabbing takeaways or even telling myself i NEED that chocolate bar of bag of crisps after a long shift or on those days when you just feel not quite right! This shake has made it much more easier for me to turn my nose up at those kind of snacks that will put the weight on! If i feel i am about to grab a pesky snack instead i will grab my shaker and make my shake which of course is chocolate flavour hehe chocolate cant escape my life that easy! It really fills me up  before my next meal and i dont even crave any kind of chocolate because of the chocolate flavour. (vanilla is also a flavour option)

My favourite thing about the whole bundle is actually the recipe book! I think a lot of the time its so hard to come up with yummy meals that are also substantial, so even after you eat your lunch you still grab a few other things to eat because it just has not hit that spot. But the recipes that are in the book are literally amazing, i thought it would just be a leaflet type of book with a few hints and tips but the Nutribuddy team have really suprised me with this one! There are also shake recommendations so you can mix your whey supplement with other fresh ingredients to make things like -
Banana & Hazelnut shake
Mixed Berry shake
Peach Melba shake
Chocolate and Berry shake

the list is honestly endless and the book has all the inspiration you need to create them!

I have been using the sculpting whey for about ten days now and i cant honestly say it has helped me cut down slowly on snacking and made me focus on just the main 3 meals a day! I would say i have lost a little bit of weight and certainly not gained any! But it isnt anything drastic as of yet, its still important to have an active lifestyle even if you are not going to the gym (like me - sorry guys i slacked a bit) but i walk everyday for long periods of time and that really helps to be active.

Regarding the vitamins and capsules i have only tried them a few times throughout my journey but i felt as if i personally didnt need them as the sculpting whey was enough to fill those gaps for me! I am also not a huge tablet taker, but i am certain they have that same effect of filling those gaps. So if any of you do decicde to get the bundle you may even prefer the capsules to the shake!

On a side note, i actually love the shaker so much - i even use it as a water bottle! It is very secure and handy to carry about and looks gorg of course 8-)

#TRAVEL | A visit to Manchester

Let me update you on my recent visit to Manchester! A suprising town with so much history. You know how it is when you plan to visit somehwhere, in the back of your mind you have an inkling of what you think it will be like...well i thought Manchester was going to be an unsociable, small, in - the - middle - of -no where kinda place...how wrong i was! And that kids is why self- education is so important haha! If i never visited i would most probably still have those ignorant views (a scary thought).
I found Manchester to be an open, happy, aesthetically beautiful place - as i liked to say, like London but a lot less populated. Which for a Londoner is always a welcoming thing! So be ready for a load of photos and a few tips on where to visit!

I stayed in the Salford Quays AC by Mariott hotel, which i couldnt recommend enough! I'll include some photos of that too :)

Manchester Check list -
Visit the Old Trafford stadium
Go on a guided tour
Visit some museums
Find a yummy restaurant and keep going back ..
Visit the city centre
Have fun!

If you go somewhere new with me just expect to be doing a lotta lot of things in only a few days! So much to see and so little time, first stop a guided walking tour! Lets get to know the city!
The tour guide John Alker was an absolute legend, i cant even explain you just had to be there in person. A wonderful character with so much knowledge of the town and its history. Of course we ran in to some drizzle on the tour yet he still kept up beat and made sure we was engaged.

We met at the Central Library, which is so breath taking - as i have been to Rome and have a love affair with their architecture i was so suprised to find out the Manchester had so much Roman and Greek buildings!

The tour consisted of a basic history lesson about Manchester, the cotton trade, some politics, and general trivia. We visited the free trade hall and the town hall which was a stunning building!! It was very catherdral like.

Know that we know the town a little more, lets go hit the museums! A visit to the MOSI -Museum of Science and Industry is a must. Full of trains and other industrial stuffs! I also got to visit the IWM - imperial war museum but i didnt find it as intense or as full of facts and interactive things as the London one!

Food stop!
#Mustvisit - Rump & ribs steakhouse (halal)
1-2 peter house,
Oxford st
M1 5AN

One more tourist stop - a tour of the stadium! Not a huge footie fan myself, apart from the Euros and World cup but the stadium tour was very interesting and fun!

I'll be back to visit soon! Until then, thats another city in the UK ticked off my list :)

Do any of my readers live in Manchester? or have visited before?
What do you think of it?!

#BEAUTY | How to get glowy, dewy skin with just one product!

Move over Manuka Doctor CC cream, i have found a new serum to take your place! Im only kidding, i love you both as much as each other. As one of Kourtney Kardashians favourite products, i knew the Gold Dust Firming Serum would also be a hit with me. I have been using the serum for over two weeks now and all i have for it is praise.

I use to use my CC cream all the time as it has that bit more coverage and colour correction as it is tinted. Sometimes i do combine them both together if i do want more coverage but lately my skin has been a lot better due to me using less makeup products on my face so i can brave it and just wear the gold dust serum!

Now it does say on the bottle " instantly younger looking photo ready skin", i mean, if my skin looks any younger im going to look like a toddler. I have one of those baby faces, a curse & a blessing! But the tag line is correct, it really does create a dewy effect due to the shimmer in the serum. So the skin really does look very healthy, glowy and more youthful looking. I think its kind of the same effect if you put oil on your face. As this has a sheen to it though, the light really does bounce of the skin and illuminate all the right areas.

I recommend putting it at the highest part of your cheek, and you can also dab a bit of highlighter on there to make it pop even more!
Also in the middle of the forehead, add a bit of pink blush to your cheeks and some bronzer to warm up your skin and then you are good to go!
It saves all the hassle of foundation, concealer, contouring and so on.

Sometimes i just leave the house with just this on my skin and some eye makeup, it lasts all day long and i just think it is brilliant.

I have only been impressed with the products Manuka Doctor and never let down, and i really look to purchase more from the range. You can read my other reviews on the CC cream
and the Facial peel mask by clicking on the links.

This photo doesnt do it any justice *covers eyes* but i wanted to try and show you how the cream looks, its very lightweight and glides on to the skin so smoothly and it doesnt leave any oily residue at all.
Worth the money for sure, i give it a 10/10!

To but the Gold Dust  Firming Serum you can click here
its priced at £19.99
Not to mention the stunnning GOLD packaging *heart eyes*

*PR samples used, all my own truthful opinions*

#HEALTH | Getting your vitamins with Natures Well (Halal)

Normally im not a big fan of vitamins, not just because normally they come in some kind of capsule form and i sometimes feel like the percentage of actually getting any of the goodness it very low to what you would get if you ate the right amount of veggies and fruit.
That being said i  thought i would give these ones a go because not only are the chewable but also because i have had a few bouts of illness so close together, it wouldnt do me no harm to just try and see what comes of it.
They are from Natures Well which is a brand that specialising in halal supplements. This means the product has no alcohol or pork in.

It is worth having a browse through the vitamin list to see if there are any that you may think could be suitable for your needs as they actually have a very wide range of them! I choose the Vitamin C tabs because i feel like i needed the nourishment and to restore that particular issue after being ill.

Why these vitamins are for me rather than those from the local shop?
  • Major vitamin brands usually contain gelatine and animal based ingredients, specifically pork and pig sources
  • Major vitamin brands usually contain alcohol / ethanol
  • “Suitable for Vegetarian” products are not permissible for Muslims as many contain alcohol and non-halal sources
  • All Natures Well™ Laboratories and production facilities are certified HMC Halal (pork, animal based ingredients and alcohol free)
The facts above are probably the main reason i feel more at ease taking these supplements than i would those you can buy cheaply in a supermarket. Not only that but the company also donate 10% of profits to charity. Which i think is a real bonus, its a great way of giving back and makes me so happy that brands would do something so selfless.

10% of Profits to Charity, Natures Well has made an unprecedented pledge to donate a minimum of 10% of our profits to various charities every year, (Zakat & Sadaqah)

How did i get on / taste?

You get 60 tablets in this pot.
I take a tablet each day or ever other day and the taste isnt sour or just a horrible taste, it is an orange favour and i just simply chew it and its gone! Now i have been taking them for a few weeks now and i cant say its a change i will notice like weight loss for example, but i do believe it is giving me the vitamin C i need in a small dose which i dont also get from food (we all have those weeks where we just pig out ,, right?!)! It hasnt giving me a zing of energy but i do feel if i am at work (a very fast paced job)  i can go on my break at a later time as my energy isnt so lacking as it was before. Im also drinking more water so that may also help!

What are your thoughts on vitamins?

#REVIEW | Lean Greens superfood drink

Health drinks are always at the very top of my list to try as there are always new flavours popping on to the market many carrying some helpful benefit. For this post we are going green! This drink is a green drink from Lean Greens involving foods like
Broccoli
Green teea
Spinich
Chlorella
Spirulina

The only problem with drinks of the green kind is the taste, they can famously taste like a cupful pond water! So i was hoping for the opposite with this drink.

What does it do?

It is basically a drink that will help you discover your natural enegery levels and cut out any uncomfortable bloating. A drink to make you feel alert and not have sugar crashes like you may get from those sweet snacks we tend to reach for. And hopefully put a stop to those cravings for all things sweet altogether .

...The taste?

I really went in to this thinking it would be so yummy like those green shakes you see and want to devour, but it wasnt a taste i could handle. I'll be honest it actually wasnt that bad, but i personally couldnt drink it without pulling a sour face. If you have a stronger stomach for those kind of flavours i think you will be okay with it!
I stuck with it for 3 days and then i couldnt go on no more, as for the texture of the drink it too is not all bad. It is pretty smooth and doesnt have any lumps in.

I think the benefits are actually brilliant and what you would expect from such healthy foods but its just if you can overcome the taste, but remember nothing worth having comes easy - so on this one, i think its all about mind over matter!

You can buy the powder and shaker over at

A 30 day serving is priced at £44.99
